Players getting ready
Over this weekend several players/teams came to Walhalla to play the course that will host day-1 of the SC Doubles Championship. I got two phone calls on Saturday from players needing directions and ran into several players/teams on Sunday afternoon while playing a round with my 12 year-old and 3 year-old. My four year-old decided he didn’t want to play.
I think the course looks good. I heard about a few issues about a hornets nest on eight…I never saw the nest…but looked for it. If someone can let me know where the nest is I can try and get it taken care of before the tournament.
I can tell you this…on hole five through 10; 13; and 15-17; you’ll want to stay in the fairway…the fairways in the woods are more wide than what you’ll find in Seneca but stray off of the fairway and it can get thick.
